In recent times there has been a revolution in national and local planning policies.  These changes have allowed development to take place where previously it could not.  Local policy controls the design and the amount of development allowed on both land and structures.

We work closely with the local planning authority by making pre-applications for proposed works which generally fall outside the policy norm.  Most extensions to structures fulfil the criteria for permitted development which we can advise upon, however the majority of alterations to a property would require a planning application.
